The terms of reference for the review have been agreed by the Executive and an open recruitment process for the panel launched on 1 March 2021.
The recruitment process is ongoing. It is being led by senior officials in the Department, with support from an official in the Department for the Economy and an independent assessor. The process is following guidelines set by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
I am aware that there has been a significant level of interest in the panel roles and this reflects the importance of the work that lies ahead. I hope to be in a position to make appointments to the independent panel in early July 2021.
