Answer

Since 2016 The Executive Office has provided circa £18 million funding to the Central Good Relations Fund (CGRF), a key programme contributing to delivery of the Together: Building A United Community Strategy. This has enabled around 600 good relations projects, reaching almost 200,000 participants, to be delivered.

To measure the impact of the CGRF on good relations outcomes participants are asked to complete a questionnaire prior to and following participation. This provides information on participant’s knowledge, attitude and behaviour towards people from a different religious or ethnic background and how this has changed following project participation.

This information is necessary to monitor whether and provide assurance that the CGRF is contributing to good relations outcomes. Information has been made or will be made available to organisations delivering projects to help in their assessment of what worked well, areas for improvement and allow good practice to be identified and shared.

Programme level information is published in the T:BUC Annual Report.
