Answer
The Housing Executive has advised that the “Maintaining your home - a householder's guide” document has advice for the housing sector generally on what householders can do to manage and maintain their home and keep repairs to a minimum.
The nature and extent of the responsibility of the Housing Executive to maintain its stock - in respect of tenanted properties - is to be found in its standard tenancy agreement which can be found at https://www.nihe.gov.uk/Documents/Customer-charter/conditions-of-tenancy
The Housing Executive’s contractual responsibilities or obligations as a landlord are set out in Part II of that agreement, while Schedule 4 provides more details on the responsibilities of both the Housing Executive and the tenant.
