Answer

The following data details the costs broken down per Health and Social Care Trust, as of May 2024.

i) the transportation costs for service users attending buildings-based day care, broken down by Health and Social Care Trust… in each of the last five years

The NHSCT provided the following response which includes all Programmes of Care collectively.

Total Costs
19/20£1,040,241
20/21£459,464
21/22£757,828
22/23£1,062,195
23/24£1,134,018

The NHSCT provided the additional narrative:

This is the cost from General Ledger each year and so will include accruals. These are the costs only that are charged to the Adult & Day Centres and so excludes centrally provided Transport – this will be significant. This will include external transport such as hire of vehicles and taxis. This will include internal transport such as Fuel, Accident & Repairs, Servicing, Insurance etc – these are all Non-Pay Costs. This is only for costs charged to the Adult/Day Centre.

This will exclude any staff costs associated with internal transport provided by the Adult/Day Centre.
