Answer

Unfortunately, the Department of Health is unable to hold and maintain a list of dental practices currently accepting new Health Service patients.

Patents who are unregistered and require a dentist can make use of the HSC service finder to search for dental practices by area and is available at https://online.hscni.net/hsc-service-finder/ . Practices can be sorted by those closest to an address and then extending further afield. A contact number for each dental practice is available and will hopefully help your constituent find a practice to register with.

A Northern Ireland-wide Dental Access Scheme (DAS) commenced on 1st August 2024. This new scheme aims to improve access (during the working week) for unregistered patients experiencing an emergency, urgent, or pressing condition. There are six practices in the South Eastern Trust area involved in the scheme and they are listed on the scheme website. Full details of the scheme (including participating practices) can be viewed at: Dental Access Scheme - DOH/HSCNI Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG)
