Answer
As of 1st February 2024, operational delivery of the Shared Housing Programme has migrated to the ‘Housing for All’ Shared Housing team in the Housing Executive. The new team is now established and developing new policies and procedures.
My Department has completed two reviews of the Shared Housing Programme, and these have resulted in 28 recommendations which have informed and increased shared housing delivery.
The Shared Housing Programme transferred to the Housing Executive on 1st February 2024, and therefore, any future reviews will be managed by the Housing Executive.
If their evaluations result in changes to policy or Programme guidance, the NIHE will draft and agree changes with the Registered Housing Associations and share the final document(s) with my Department.
