Answer
My officials will continue to work with Ulster University and other partners to support the development of affordable, appropriate student accommodation.
There has been significant growth in privately-owned purpose-built student accommodation in Belfast in recent years, it is anticipated that similar developments will come forward to build student accommodation for students attending Magee.
Since the report of the Taskforce was published a planning application has been submitted for construction of a purpose-built student accommodation on the waterfront, conveniently located near to the campus.
The Taskforce is working with Derry City and Strabane District Council and others to drive campus growth including student accommodation.
