Answer
I recognise the important work that Inclusion Health Service offers to those individuals who are homeless and who need access to timely health and social care provision. It is vitally important that the new permanent location is safe for both those accessing and delivering services.
Belfast Health and Social Care Trust has been actively looking for suitable permanent premises. This work has involved engagement with a range of key stakeholders including the Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Community and Voluntary groups and Land and Property Services, as well as with staff and service users of the Inclusion Health Service to get their input on the optimum location for the service.
The Trust has also been actively viewing a number of properties and recently one has been identified as potentially being suitable. Trust representatives are currently engaging with the relevant landlord to discuss potential lease of the property, including any specific refurbishment work that would need to be completed before this could be agreed.
Given these talks are currently ongoing I am not yet in a position to provide the member with a definitive timescale for when the Inclusion Health Service will be relocated to a new centre but I can assure you this will be done as soon as practicable.
