Answer
As my Department leads on the residential buildings sector for Northern Ireland’s Climate Action Plan my officials have discussed building standards on a number of occasions via the Residential Decarbonisation Coordination Group, which is co-chaired by officials within my Department and includes representatives from the Department of Finance. There have also been numerous regular cross departmental meetings since the introduction of the Climate Change Act (2022) Northern Ireland, during which the subject of building standards was discussed.
As these meetings are too numerous to list, the information has been placed in the Assembly Library.
