AQW 30576/22-27 Written question to the Minister for Communities
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any discussions he has had with (i) the Minister of Finance; and (ii) Minister for Infrastructure, to ensure building regulations are updated to (a) reduce carbon emissions, (b) meet the highest practicable Energy Performance Certificate standards and (c) deliver climate change requirements.

While I have not had any direct discussions with the Ministers for Finance or Infrastructure about Building Regulations, I would refer you back to my response on AQW 29871/22-27, which detailed numerous regular cross departmental meetings during which this subject was discussed.
Updating Building Regulations is however a cross-cutting subject which impacts several departments. Any proposed updates should therefore come before the Executive for consideration and agreement.
