Answer

Assistance may be available via a Disabled Facilities Grant for individuals who are immobile or have a serious terminal illness where such measures are identified as a clinical need and recommended by an Occupational Therapist as part of an adaptation to meet the needs of an individual. Disabled Facilities Grants are available to eligible private home owners, private landlords and tenants for works necessary to fulfil an Occupational Therapist’s recommendation, ensuring a disabled person’s home is safe and accessible.

Affordable Warmth Scheme grants assist low-income households living in private accommodation by providing grants for energy efficiency to address the effects of fuel poverty.
