Answer
Translink is working closely with Belfast City Council and the organisers of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann to develop a comprehensive and safe transport plan for the event. This includes both bus and rail provision.
Translink’s initial assessment indicates that additional park-and-ride capacity on key approaches to the city may be required, alongside enhanced public transport services, including lateevening operations, to support safe travel to and from the city centre.
A detailed transport plan will be published once there is greater clarity around the event programme, locations, timings and projected attendance. This will ensure that the appropriate measures are in place both to provide safe, reliable public transport and to minimise car travel through the event.
