Answer
This issue is an operational matter for Northern Ireland Housing Executive; they have advised me as follows:
Please see the table below which provides the level of funding sought by the Housing Executive for the Supporting People programme in each of the last 5 years.
| Year | Funding Sought (£k) |
| 2026-27 | 92,446 |
| 2025-26 | 90,163 |
| 2024-25 | 85,272 |
| 2023-24 | 85,789 |
| 2022-23 | 76,462 |
The table below shows the level of funding allocated to the Supporting People Programme, in each of the last 5 years.
| Year | Funding Allocated (£k) |
| 2026-27 | 61,272 |
| 2025-26 | 83,712 |
| 2024-25 | 79,092 |
| 2023-24 | 72,866 |
| 2022-23 | 75,624 |
Please Note:
The funding allocated figure for 2026-27 represents figures from April to December 2026.
The 2022/23 figure excludes £546k of SP COVID-19 funding. This funding was provided separately by the Department specifically to support COVID-related expenditure and did not form part of the programme’s normal funding allocation.
The funding allocated for the 2022/23 – 2025/26 period represents the final allocation in that year at the year-end position.
