Answer

It is assumed that the strategy referred to in your question relates to the Ards Peninsula Sea Walls Condition and Repair Cost Report, dated March 2018. This work and report are separate from the work being led by DAERA and delivered through the Coastal Forum Working Group which involves a survey, study and model of coastal erosion with the intention being to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

The 2021/22 coastal defence repair programme for the Ards and North Down Borough Council will be included in my Department’s 2021/22 Roads Annual Report which is due to be presented to Council on 12 October 2021 prior to its general release. A number of schemes in this programme have already been completed this financial year.
