Answer
The construction works at Rathgael House are being taken forward in two stages. The first stage was the demolition of the tower block which was completed in December 2024. The second stage will include the refurbishment of the front entrance and the provision of car parking spaces. This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2025. The land on Balloo Road adjacent to Rathgael House, currently used for car parking, will then become surplus. Land & Property Services’ internal disposal process will then be initiated allowing it to be considered for alternative use by relevant public and third sector bodies.
